Let’s work together!
Copy-editing and proofreading
Working across fiction and non-fiction texts, I check spelling, grammar, punctuation, facts and accuracy of information, suitability for audience, consistency, structure, sense and style. I’ve worked for large publishers, small presses, magazines and independent authors.
Journalism and copy-writing
I’ve written for magazines and newspapers including the Observer and The Bookseller. I specialise in writing about books, culture and race. You can read a sample of my writing here. I also do copywriting for companies, for example the copy for Penguin’s Next Editors Programme.
I love chairing events and have worked on a number of them both in person and virtually. I have also participated in panels.

“Natasha is an excellent copy editor and proofreader. Her edits are thoughtful, exact and probing; her proofing is immaculate, thorough and always delivered ahead of schedule. She’s smart and very capable, so I would highly recommend her.”– Kit Caless, founder and director of Influx Press
“What stands out about Natasha is not only the writing and the interviewing, but also the speed in which she is able to grapple with quite complex subjects or businesses, while at the same time dealing with multiple different deadlines. The best journalists do not simply quote their subjects verbatim, but include the context, and add in the analysis—Natasha does all this brilliantly. She is also a learner: keen to take on new skills and develop herself. Of all the journalists I have worked with over more than twenty years in the profession, I have never met one who better combines an eagerness to better herself with the talent to actually succeed at it.”– Philip Jones, editor of The Bookseller
