Copy-editing and proofreading
Working across fiction and non-fiction texts, I check spelling, grammar, punctuation, facts and accuracy of information, suitability for audience, consistency, structure, sense and style. I’ve worked for large publishers, small presses, magazines and independent authors.
Journalism and copywriting
I’ve written for magazines and newspapers including the Observer and The Bookseller. I specialise in writing about books, culture and race. You can read a sample of my writing here. I also do copywriting for companies, for example the copy for Penguin’s Next Editors Programme.
Event chairing
I love chairing events and have worked on a number of them both in person and virtually. I have also participated in panels.
